Aims, Skills and Learning Outcomes

Internship II
The course of Internship II is designed to complement the academic training undertaken during the degree throughout the integration of students in the exercise of a professional occupation or in the development of activities in companies or organizations that will provide real contacts with the job market.

Professional Report II
In situations where the student pursues a professional activity, his work experience can be considered as Internship, provided that there is a proven exercise of compatible features with relevant academic training for the objectives of Internship and capable of ensuring the integration of the student in the working life.

We aim to provide the students with technical and practical knowledge to prepare a report based on their practice and professional knowledge, enabling them to identify the technical and operational problem solving methods and establishing compatible objectives with the organization's strategy.

Programme

Internship II
Eminently practical, the trainee will develop a professional activity in a business or institutional environment, delimited by the functional contents inherent to the professional opportunities of the CTSP, and under the dependence of a supervisor - a hierarchical superior able at that professional level, and accompanied by an ISAG professor who will promote the evaluation with the Company/Institution Advisor. Once the Internship is finished, the student/trainee will prepare a document summarizing the work developed, that will be publicly presented and defended.

Internship II Period : May 27 to July 5, 2019

Professional Report II
Each student is required to develop a Report under the guidance of an ISAG-appointed Accompanying Instructor. There will be tutorial sessions where the work done and the evolution of the final report will be presented and discussed.
The Professional Report will be publicly presented and defended by the student.

Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the curricular unit's learning objectives

The internship has a fundamentally practical learning component, based on the insertion of the student in the work context, and students are expected to be able to apply the knowledge obtained in the curricular units taught to their professional practice.

Continuous Assessment

Internship II
In the situations of insertion in an organization, the student will develop the internship work under the guidance of an Internal Advisor of the organization who, in consonance with the ISAG Accompanying Teacher, will evaluate and certify the quality of the work produced through a Company Assessment Sheet which will constitute 50% of the final grade. The Internship Report, which should describe in detail the work developed and the situations experienced during the Internship, will constitute 30% of the final grade and the presentation 20%.

In the Internship Report it is necessary to obtain a minimum classification of 10 values.

Professional Report II
In the preparation of a Professional Report, the student must prove, through the demonstration of evidence, his professional experience and the relevance of the professional course followed. The evaluation will be a consequence of the weighted average between the classification obtained in the Report (60%) and its presentation/defense (40%).

Internship Report II/Professional Report II
The report should not exceed 30 pages, excluding the cover, contents, appendices and attachments.

Deadline for the Internship Report II/Professional II: July 10, 2019

Presentation/defense
The presentations/defenses of the Professional Report will be made before a jury constituted by the Accompanying Teacher and by another teacher appointed for this purpose. The jury will promote a prior evaluation of the work that will decide on its presentation and defense. The schedule of the presentations will be posted in a timely manner and given to the students by the respective Accompanying Teacher.

The marks obtained in the intern's work, report, presentation and defense, may be considered only until the 2nd phase, with no possibility of improvement.

Final Exam

Internship II:

The trainee who does not proceed with the delivery of the internship report and the internship file duly completed on the dates defined by the Traineeship Committee, as well as failing or defending in his defense on the dates defined, except for compelling reasons, will be awarded the final grade of disapproval and may require a new evaluation at the time which, in this case, will be in the student-worker era.

Professional Report II:

The student who fails to submit the professional report, as well as failing or defending in his defense on the dates defined by the Traineeship Committee, except for compelling reasons, will be awarded the final grade of disapproval and may require a new evaluation in the time of appeal which, in this case, will be in the worker-student era.

Demonstration of the coherence between the teaching methodologies and the learning outcomes

The teaching methodology aims to promote learning in the practical field. The main objective is to expose students to the work context of their area of reference.
