Assessment Systems


Purpose of the assessment

1. The assessment is mainly intended to ascertain and classify the degree of achievement by the student of the volume of work provided for each course in accordance with the scientific and pedagogical objectives, their knowledge and ability to understand, the application of knowledge and ability to research, their critical thinking, decision-making ability, the level of communication and composition written and oral, and the development of self-learning skills.

2. The volume of work of the student includes all forms of work provided for each curriculum unit, distributed in particular by contact sessions, consolidation and other activities dedicated to internships, field work, study and evaluation.


Types of Assessment

There are two types of competence assessment:
a) Continuous;
b) Final.

Continuous Assessment
The continuous evaluation integrates several evaluation elements, according to the criteria defined in the regulations of the study cycles.

Final Assessment
The final assessment includes a written test, and may also include an oral test and other means of assessment, in accordance with the criteria defined in the regulations of the study cycles.


Assessment Classification

1. The result of the assessment shall be expressed as a final score on a scale of 0 (zero) to 20 (twenty) values, rounded to units.

2. The student passes the continuous assessment when, according to the criteria defined in the regulations of the study cycles, he/she obtains a score of not less than 10 (ten) values.

3. The student will pass the final evaluation when, according to the criteria defined in the regulations of the cycles of studies, he/she obtains a grade of not less than 10 (ten) values.
