Aims, Skills and Learning Outcomes

The course unit of Internship aims at complementing the academic training carried out during the course of the degree through the integration of the student in the exercise of a professional activity or in the development of activities in companies or organizations that provide real contacts with the world of work.



Programme

Practically eminent in a business or institutional environment, the trainee will develop a professional activity delimited by the functional content inherent to the professional exits of the degree under the supervision of an Advisor - a hierarchical superior professionally framed at that professional level, and accompanied by an ISAG lecturer who will promote its evaluation with the Company / Institution Advisor. At the end of the Internship, the student / trainee will prepare a document summarizing the work developed, which will be presented publicly and defended.

Internship period: February 15 to June 25, 2021

The professional activity of each intern in the host company/institution is connected with the main goal of this unit: to integrate the student in a professional activity or in the development of activities in companies or similar organizations that allow a real contact with the labour market

Continuous Assessment

In situations of insertion in an organization, the student will develop the internship work under the guidance of an Internal Advisor of the organization who, in agreement with the ISAG Accompanying Teacher, will evaluate and certify the quality of the work produced through a Company Evaluation Form. which will constitute 50% of the final grade. The Internship Report, which should describe in detail the work done and the situations experienced throughout the Internship, will constitute 30% of the final grade and its presentation / defense, 20%.

In the Internship Report it is necessary to obtain a minimum grade of 10 values. If, for any reason, the assessment leads to a failing result, the intern must repeat the Internship, respecting the overall procedures referred to in the regulation of the degree.

Failure to comply with the organization's normal probationary period or assessment period results in a grade lower than 10, the trainee will be awarded a final grade of failure, and the trainee will have to repeat the placement in the following school year.

The size of the Internship report should not exceed 30 pages, excluding cover, indexes, appendices and attachments.

Stage Report Delivery Deadline: July 9, 2020

The presentations / defenses will be made before a jury consisting of the Accompanying Professor and another teacher appointed for that purpose. The jury will promote a prior evaluation of the work that will decide on its presentation and defense. The schedule of the presentations will be timely posted in a timely place and made known to the students by their Accompanying Teacher.

The Internship Report must be submitted in the Turnitin database, available on ISAG's E-Learning platform, with a similarity rate up to 30% acceptable.

Final Exam

The intern who fails to submit the internship report and the internship file duly completed, as well as failing or failing to defend the internship report (when required) on the dates set by the Commission (except for valid reasons), will be given the final grade of failed and may require a new assessment at the time of appeal which, in this case, will be at the time of student-worker.
If the student fails the Internship I course unit, he / she is required to complete the internship in the following school year.
